In addition to the appropriate equipment, walking the via ferrata also requires a lot of experience. Absolute surefootedness and freedom from vertigo, as well as the handling of safety equipment and the assessment of alpine terrain are absolute prerequisites. Where necessary, the paths are secured by steel ropes, hooks and ladders, but also unroped areas must be mastered.
Please note in your tour planning the total time (ascent , descent, etc.) and pay attention to stable weather conditions for the entire day. We recommend every via ferrata "newcomer" to choose an appropriate course or an accompanied tour.

Hindelanger Klettersteig
The Nebelhorn is the starting point of the panoramic Hindelanger via ferrata, the longest and therefore most demanding via ferrata in the Allgäu. From the summit of the Nebelhorn it takes about 4-5 hours to get to the big thumb. Since you always move along the ridge, the Hindelanger via ferrata offers a unique panoramic view over the Allgäu.
Who wants to go only about half the distance, has after the eastern Wengenkopf the possibility of descent. The way back leads over the Koblat Platteau to the station Höfatsblick of the Nebelhornbahn.
Meter of ascent: 570 m
Meter of descent: 830 m
Distance: 8.6 km
Level: Difficult (B/C)
Transit time: 4-5 h (without ascent and descent)

Mindelheimer Klettersteig
The Mindelheimer via ferrata stretches between Fidererscharte and Kemptner Kopf. The medium-difficulty via ferrata (category C) leads over several intermediate peaks along the Schafalpenköpfe and rewards with a magnificent view in Kleinwalsertal. Hightlight of the tour is certainly the ladder bridge after the first peak, which leads over a deep crevice.
We recommend to walk the trail from the Fiderepasshütte, because in this direction most walkers are on the way. Tip: An overnight stay at the Mindelheimer Hut or Fidererpass Hut makes the tour a special experience.
